ANTI-SNORING THERAPY

For your recuperation and regeneration - deep and healthy sleep.

Our SomnoDent® brand anti-snoring splint is effective for nocturnal breathing pauses (sleep apnea), snoring and nocturnal teeth grinding (bruxism). Patients who are insured with the DAK statutory health insurance provider receive a subsidy towards the cost of treatment. Do you also want to sleep more deeply and soundly? We would be happy to advise you on costs and reimbursements and accompany you through the entire process from your diagnosis all the way to receiving your anti-snoring device.

The anti-snoring splint’s ranges of application

Here you can find some typical areas of application. We will be happy to advise you on your individual options in an initial consultation.

  • For sleep apnea at night

Snoring can cause nocturnal breathing pauses. Unrestful sleep is then inevitable.

  • Snoring

Snoring can be distressing for you and those around you.

  • Nocturnal teeth grinding

Teeth grinding damages your teeth and jaw.

  • Function of the anti-snoring splint

The splint is individually adjusted to the patient's jaw, taking into account both the lower and upper jaw. The patented fin design of the splints ensures that the lower jaw is gently pushed forward until the optimum position is achieved. As a consequence, the pharyngeal muscles and the surrounding tissues are activated so that the tongue is held forward. This keeps your airways clear throughout the night and you benefit from better rest while you sleep. Loud snoring is prevented and the risks of sleep apnea are noticeably reduced.

CMD: TMJ therapy.

In addition to splint treatment for straighter teeth, it may sometimes be necessary to correct the function of the jaw. CMD therapy is used to effectively treat craniomandibular dysfunction (abbreviated CMD). This is often manifested by nocturnal teeth grinding and clenching. This is known as bruxism - an overstressing of the masticatory system. In addition to stress, misaligned teeth and faulty prostheses can also be among the causes of CMD. We strongly recommend diagnosis and therapy by our experienced experts in order to ensure that you receive the best possible treatment.
